Skopje, 8 July 2022 (MIA) – The European Union draft-negotiating framework for the Republic of North Macedonia presented by the French Presidency has been forwarded to the Parliament, for the purpose of adopting conclusions in line with procedures.
The Government decided Thursday to send the documents to the Parliament after discussing a report by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Speaker Talat Xhaferi has still not scheduled a session on the proposal.
Protesters against the French proposal will set roadblocks across the country on Friday at 1 p.m. – in front of the Government in Skopje, and road sections Shtip-Veles, Strumica-Radovish and Pletvar-Prilep.
Protests were held in front of the Government and the Parliament over the past week, with incidents marring some and resulting in injured police officers and detained protesters.
