Skopje, 28 April 2025 (MIA) — A solo show of works by Macedonian visual artist Darko Aleksovski pairing love letters written on a typewriter with large-scale drawings, titled “Never Not in Love,” will open Monday at the French Institute.
According to organizers, Aleksovski’s art explores image-making and creative writing and his “Never Not in Love” exhibit juxtaposes drawings of evocative seascapes with typed love letters.
“Through two interconnected series of artworks — “Love Letters to Loneliness” and “Waves” — he reflects on love, remembering, and the mutability of human relationships,” organizers said.
The exhibit was curated by Melody Robine and organized by the French Institute in Skopje.
Works from the “Never Not in Love” exhibition have already been on display at Skopje's Private Print studio as well as in galleries in Split, Croatia, and Maribor, Slovenia. mr/
