Brussels, 3 December 2025 (MIA) – On the sidelines of today's meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers we will also have a very important discussion on Corridor VIII, which is a key political and security corridor, a corridor for enhancing connectivity, but also for strategic military mobility, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski said in a doorstep statement ahead of the ministerial in Brussels on Wednesday.
"Myself and our Italian colleague Antonio Tajani will be co-hosting this event where we hope that we will be able to discuss not just Corridor VIII, but also the Western Balkans where there is a very high level of malign influence coming from Russia, China but also other stakeholders," Mucunski said.
As regards the ministerial meeting, Mucunski pointed out that ministers will be discussing NATO's preparedness, progress since The Hague Summit and what the plans are looking towards the future, adding that very strong focus will be on the principled support for Ukraine, as well as what is also seen as momentum and a window of opportunity for peace in Ukraine, noting that the Trump administration, Secretary Marco Rubio, President Trump and his entire team have put a very strong commitment on finding peace.
"We see the clear window of opportunity for finding such a peaceful solution and of course we will stand behind our support for this existing momentum," Mucunski added.
