FM Mucunski meets representatives of Macedonia - Turkiye Chamber of Commerce (MATTO)

Skopje, 7 August 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski held a meeting Wednesday with the President of the Macedonia - Turkiye Chamber of Commerce (MATTO), Ajdovan Ademoski, as well as vice presidents Marija Tomeska and Eser Cevahir.

According to the Ministry, at the meeting interlocutors affirmed “the excellent cooperation between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Turkiye in business and economy with hopes it will continue in the coming period, with activities focused on further encouragement of new foreign companies to invest in the Republic of North Macedonia”. 

“At the meeting, Minister Mucunski presented the Ministry’s authorizations and responsibilities in the field of foreign investments, stressing that in the future the Ministry will be a real service for the companies who decide to invest in the country. Considering the existing free trade agreement, both sides affirmed the importance of trade cooperation between the two countries and highlighted its importance to both economies,” the Ministry said.

The representatives of the Chamber of Commerce noted that MATTO represents the Turkish investments in the country.

“They presented the planned activities for the coming period, as well as opportunities for the organization and visits to business forums where North Macedonia's investment opportunities will be presented,” the Ministry said.
