Skopje, 6 October 2025 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski met Monday with Austria’s Minister of Europe, Integration and Family, Claudia Plakolm, who is on a working visit to North Macedonia. 

“Talks focused on relevant issues concerning the country’s European integration and progress in the EU accession process. Minister Mucunski reaffirmed the strategic commitment to EU membership, highlighting the commitment to the implementation of reforms, the promotion of regional cooperation, good neighborly relations, and the contribution to stability and peace in the region,” the Foreign Ministry said in a press release. 

The meeting, according to the Ministry, reaffirmed Austria’s continued support of EU enlargement and the country’s important role in encouraging the European perspective of Western Balkan countries. 

Mucunski and Plakolm reaffirmed the excellent bilateral relations, voicing a readiness for their further promotion, with a special emphasis on the enhancement of trade and economic cooperation.
