Finnish President Niinistö in hospital with coronavirus infection
Helsinki, 26 April 2022 (dpa/MIA) — Finland's 73-year-old president, Sauli Niinistö, is in hospital after showing Covid-19 symptoms, his office reported in Helsinki on Tuesday.
Niinistö remains in relatively good health and is continuing to work remotely. Among the key issues facing the country is a possible application to join NATO.
Niinistö tested positive for the coronavirus a week ago.
