Kriva Palanka, 17 October 2025 (MIA) – Your strength lies in your vote, I urge you to show your strength on Sunday, by turning out in large numbers at the polling stations. So that you send a clear message with your vote, because Macedonia needs change, said SDSM leader Venko Filipche at a rally Friday in Kriva Palanka.

Filipche said the country is facing a choice about whether it will allow “the government to continue to destroy our home brick by brick, or whether the people will come together to protect it”.

“These are not regular local elections. On Sunday we decide if we will restore justice, dignity, and honesty in our country. We decide about the future of every family, about a certain future for young people, about a country in which effort is what counts, and not party affiliation,” Filipche said.

Filipche said SDSM is a party that has always led the country forward through concrete policies and actions, and not with lies and manipulations.

“It is time to stand up, to show our strength, to restore hope and restore our country to the hands of the people. Every vote counts on Sunday. The people’s strength is coming back, SDSM is coming back,” Filipche said.

The leader of the main opposition party said now is not the time for apathy and disappointed, but a time for unity and mass turnout.

Filipche stressed he is convinced that SDSM’s candidate for Kriva Palanka Mayor will clinch the race in the first round.
