Skopje, 4 March 2024 (MIA) — Italian tenor Federico Serra, accompanied on piano by Antonio Camponogara, will give a Women's Day concert of Giuseppe Verdi opera arias at Ohrid's St. Sophia church on March 8 at 7 pm. 

The concert is organized by Ohrid Summer Festival organizers as part of their off-season events. The festival is usually held between July 12 and August 20, they said in a press release.

The Women's Day concert was preceded by a New Year's concert and will be followed by an Easter concert, Ohrid Summer Festival director Natasha Popovikj said.

"Being the country's largest and most important cultural institution, we want high culture to live all year long, which promotes both the festival and Ohrid as a city but also the country as a whole. We offer quality, and this has been recognized by our loyal audience," Popovikj said.

According to the release, Federico Serra was one of the four Italian tenors who gave a concert at the opening of the 62nd Ohrid Summer Festival. mr/
