False bomb threat at Skopje Airport, air traffic continues on a regular schedule

Skopje, 16 August 2025 (MIA) - A report of a bomb threat on a plane scheduled to take off from Skopje International Airport to Turkey was received via the emergency number 112 at 2:41 am on Saturday. 

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) said all necessary checks have been conducted, concluding that the bomb threat reported at the Skopje Airport is false. 

"Immediately after the threat was reported, police officers took all necessary measures, anti-terrorist squads carried out detailed checks and the bomb threat was proved to be false," the MoI said in a press release.  

After all necessary checks were completed, at around 6 am, air traffic at the Skopje International Airport resumed according to the regular schedule.
