Kyiv, 3 November 2024 (dpa/MIA) – New Russian drone attacks during the night caused fires in the Ukrainian capital Kiev on Sunday and debris fell in several parts of the city, officials said.

It was not yet clear whether anyone was injured but debris damaged a road surface, a lighting pole and electrical lines, the city's military administration said in a post on Telegram.

There was an explosion in a suburb of the Ukrainian capital, Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote on his Telegram channel on Saturday evening. He said the air defence system was deployed in the region and in the capital.

He called on the people in the city to stay in shelters.
