European Affairs Minister Murtezani to visit Ireland
- Minister of European Affairs Orhan Murtezani is set to begin a working visit to Ireland on Wednesday, as part of which he is expected to meet with the Irish Minister of State for European Affairs and Defence, Thomas Byrne, as well as members of the European Affairs Committee within the Irish Parliament (Oireachtas).

Skopje, 2 July 2025 (MIA) - Minister of European Affairs Orhan Murtezani is set to begin a working visit to Ireland on Wednesday, as part of which he is expected to meet with the Irish Minister of State for European Affairs and Defence, Thomas Byrne, as well as members of the European Affairs Committee within the Irish Parliament (Oireachtas).
According to the Ministry, discussions at the meetings will focus on topics concerning the European perspective of North Macedonia and the region, Irish support in the EU accession process in light of Ireland’s upcoming Presidency of the Council of the European Union, as well as deepening bilateral and institutional cooperation.
Meetings will also focus on issues related to the EU’s security policy in the context of the new geopolitical challenges and the enlargement policy as a response.
