EU nations approve launch of accession negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova

Brussels, 21 June 2024 (MIA) - The 27 European Union countries have formally approved the opening of accession negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova on Tuesday (June 25), the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU said.
The Belgian Presidency said the EU members have agreed on the negotiating frameworks for the two countries.
"This opns the way for launching the negotiations on Tuesday 25 June in Luxembourg," said the Belgian Presidency.
