EU Minister Murtezani attends regional conference in Montenegro

Skopje, 28 January 2025 (MIA) – Minister for European Affairs, Orhan Murtezani is paying Tuesday a working visit to Montenegro to take part in a high-level conference titled “Empower. Integrate. Grow”, dedicated to regional economic integration. 

The event, held in the town of Bečići, brings together EU affairs ministers and chief EU negotiators from Western Balkan countries as well as EU representatives, said the Ministry for European Affairs. 

Minister Murtezani will address the session “Pre-accession benefits: From SEPA to green lanes and beyond”, in which participants will discuss the implementation of the European Commission’s Growth Plan for the Western Balkans and key priorities encouraging regional economic connectivity and aligning with EU standards.

At the sidelines of the conference, Murtezani is expected to meet with Regional Cooperation Council’s Secretary General Amer Kapetanović to share views on ongoing regional integration initiatives and the role of the Council in supporting Western Balkan countries on their EU integration path, said the press release.
