Skopje, 17 February 2024 (MIA) - Opposition bloc of ethnic Albanians will sign a declaration of unification on Saturday in Skopje.

The declaration will be signed by the leaders of the Alliance for Albanians (AA), Arben Taravari, and the opposition bloc of ethnic Albanians united in the coalition European Alliance for Change - Izet Mexhiti of the Democratic Movement, Afrim Gashi of the Alternativa, and Bilal Kasami of the Besa Movement.

Alliance for Albanians (AA) leader and Gostivar Mayor, Arben Taravari, said Thursday he will run for President in the upcoming election. His bid comes at the proposal of the AA leadership and is backed by the opposition bloc of ethnic Albanians, united in the coalition European Alliance for Change.

He announced his candidacy by pledging to gather 10,000 signatures, a task he expects to accomplish within two days.
