Skopje, 15 July 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Education and Science Vesna Janevska met Monday with British Ambassador Matthew Lawson.

According to the Ministry of Education, the meeting focused on the successful cooperation between the two countries so far, and the British Government's support in the process of improving the national education system. 

"Minister Janevska briefed Ambassador Lawson on the Government's priorities in the field of education, stressing that ensuring quality education and textbooks for all primary and secondary students is a key focus. She also added that improvisations cannot provide a quality education system that is equipped to respond to modern challenges," the Ministry of Education and Science said in a press release.

Interlocutors also discussed the scholarships the British Government provides students in the country through the Chevening Scholarship program, for which "there is a huge interest among Macedonian students."ssh/ad/
