Brussels, 8 July 2022 (MIA) – The European Commission said Friday it is closely following events in North Macedonia regarding the French EU Presidency proposal, MIA reports from Brussels. EC Spokesperson Ana Pisonero told a daily press briefing that consultations are ongoing in the country. “Following the delivery of the revised French proposal, we have seen that Prime Minister Kovachevski has announced a broad consultation process with all relevant stakeholders that is ongoing. Deciding on this revised proposal is, of course, a sovereign decision by North Macedonia. We are following very closely the events and the debates taking place in North Macedonia,” said Pisonero.
