EC Autumn Forecast a signal country moving in positive direction: FinMin

Skopje, 18 November 2025 (MIA) - The European Commission's Autumn Economic Forecast is a clear signal that we are moving in a positive direction, says Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska Kochoska.

Dimitrieska Kochoska says in a Facebook post that the Macedonian economy's GDP growth projection for 2025 and 2026 has been upgraded, which "is a confirmation of the stability, resilience and trust in our economic policies."

The FinMin says the report notes that the GDP was higher than projected in the first half of 2025, supported by investments, private consumption and improved export performance.

"Investments in infrastructure and the private sector are positioned as generators of growth in the coming years, whereas stabilization of inflation is further strengthening the economic predictability. In addition, realization of large infrastructure projects and implementation of reforms within the EU Growth Plan will largely contribute to even faster development," says Dimitrieska Kochoska.

According to her, these positive signals from the EC are a strong incentive to resume implementing "responsible policies that strengthen the economy and improve the people's standard of life."

"The Government and the Ministry of Finance remain committed to stable public finances, focused investments and reforms that accelerate economic development," says Dimitrieska Kochoska.
