Durmishi - Bolat: Boosting trade between Turkey and North Macedonia

Skopje, 29 October 2024 (MIA) – Trade and economic relations between Turkey and North Macedonia were discussed by Minister of Economy and Labor Besar Durmishi and Turkish Minister of Trade, Omer Bolat, in Tuesday’s meeting in Ankara.
The two ministers mainly discussed ways for their countries to cooperate all the while vowing to increase investments, the Ministry of Economy and Labor said.
Republic of Turkey, Minister Durmishi said, is one of our most important trade partners and a country that has been investing in the Macedonian economy in various sectors as a strategic investment partner.
“Trade data show that the Republic of Turkey last year ranked seventh in the list of countries the Republic of North Macedonia recorded the highest volume of trade with. I hope this cooperation will continue to enhance in the coming period,” Minister Durmishi said.
The two ministers also discussed ways for Turkish companies to increase their participation in Macedonian infrastructural and energy projects in order to increase investments in North Macedonia, said the press release.
