Durmishi – Rizvanolli: Increased cooperation between North Macedonia and Kosovo to bring prosperity to citizens

Skopje, 25 July 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Economy and Labor Besar Durmishi met Thursday with Kosovo’s Minister of Economy Artane Rizvanolli as part of his official visit to Pristina. The two ministers discussed important issues related to the enhancement of trade cooperation between the two countries, as well as future projects for regional connectivity, the Economy Ministry said in a press release.
At the meeting, Durmishi stressed that the Ministry of Economy and Labor will be focused, among other things, on greater regional connectivity and support for domestic businesses.
“We are interested in boosting cooperation with the Republic of Kosovo in every field. The vision and strategy that we have ahead of us as a Government foresees closer regional cooperation, and only through mutual assistance, above all in regional projects, I am convinced that the benefits will be mutual and progress tangible for both countries,” Durmishi said, according to the press release.
The Minister voiced his firm conviction that regional competitiveness will enhance the region’s resilience, bring prosperity to the citizens creating a stronger labor market, bring growth and a brighter future for the economies, while at the same time preparing them for entry into the European Union’s market.
The two ministers, according to the press release, underscored that both governments are aware of the benefits of regional integrations. “Both sides need to actively work on implementing the initiatives and agreements for the regional integrations,” the press release said.
