Kichevo, 17 October 2021 (MIA) — Ali Ahmeti, the president of the Democratic Union for Integration, voted at the polling station in the village of Zajas and said the 2021 local elections were the mirror of democracy. Ahmeti also said the country’s European perspective depended on these elections. “In the past 20 years, we have had problems with joining NATO and the EU. Now that we’ve joined NATO and solved the problem with Greece, I expect that soon we'll solve the problem with Bulgaria and fully open our way to the EU," Ahmeti added. mr/
