Dragan Djordjevic Suzuki, Dino Imeri to perform at Ohrid Summer

Skopje, 21 July 2024 (MIA) — Serbian cellist Dragan Djordjevic Suzuki and Macedonian pianist Dino Imeri will give Sunday evening a concert at St. Sophia church as part of Ohrid Summer festival.

 

According to organizers, the concert will feature works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Alfred Schnittke, Robert Schumann, and Sergei Rachmaninoff.

 

Dragan Djordjevic Suzuki (b. 1970, Nish) has been called the ambassador of the Serbian cello school. He is the founder of Viva Cello ensemble, the Ravanelius festival, and the cofounder of Rubikon quartet and artist director of Belgrade's International Cello Fest.

 

He studied at the Faculty of Music Art in Belgrade and London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He has performed with the London Symphony orchestra, the Royal Northern Symphony, and the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra.

 

Dino Imeri (b. 1990, Skopje) is an acclaimed Macedonian pianist and composer. He has performed as a soloist with top international orchestras, as a recital artist and as a chamber musician.

 

His album releases include „Dino imeri - LIVE in France“ (Piano Plage Festival, 2010), „Reflections“ (PMG Jazz, 2020), and „Passions“ (Con:tempo, 2021). He teaches at the state university's Faculty of Music Arts. mr/
