Tetovo, 31 July 2022 (MIA) – A way should be found to reach an optimal price for COVID-19 tests through discussions with representatives of the public health sector and private health institutions, said Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski on Sunday.
Asked by reporters on the lack of tests in state institutions and the high prices of these tests in the private health sector, PM Kovachevski said he has already talked with Health Minister Bekim Sali over the issue.
“The quantity of tests in the public health sector is sufficient. We will have to sit down with the private health sector and see what would be the optimal price this fall, because the virus is still here and the numbers are on the rise,” said Kovachevski.
According to him, a good thing is the certain level of collective immunity.
“Hospital capacities are not overburdened as was the case during the previous COVID-19 waves. The entire health sector is prepared, our health workers are now experienced in managing the situation and citizens are also more aware of the need for personal protection and treatment,” added Kovachevski.
