Deputy PM urges MPs to be responsible and work together on EU path

Skopje, 9 March 2023 (MIA) - The 2022 Progress Report is an objective representation of the country and the sustainability of reforms while noting areas that require improvement, Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj told the Parliament debate on the EU document on Thursday.
Deputy PM Marichikj said the country is in the middle of the EU screening and the Parliament is the most suitable place for Union-related debates.
Marichikj said the country is not backtracking but recording stable continuity and moving forward.
He briefed MPs that screening reports from the first and second cluster would be delivered soon, with action plans to be drafted afterward.
"The pace of reforms depends on us," said Marichikj.and urged lawmakers to make the Parliament a forum on the EU path and give priority to reforms, including the constitutional changes, while leaving partisan politics aside and work together on EU-related aspects.
