Skopje, 23 September 2025 (MIA) - Deputy Minister for European Affairs Viktorija Trajkov met Tuesday with Ambassador of the Slovak Republic Iveta Hricová for talks on EU-related reforms, according to a press release from the Ministry for European Affairs.

At the meeting, Trajkov and Hricová "discussed the country's progress in the European integration process as well as the progress made regarding implemented reforms," the release said.

"At the same time, it was highlighted that Slovakia is a strong supporter of Macedonia on its European path," the release said, adding that this support would continue.

The deputy minister for Europe said the government would also continue implementing reforms required to reach the country's strategic goal of joining the EU. She also thanked the ambassador for the strong Slovak support on the country's path to achieving its EU goal. 

Going forward, the release said, mutual efforts to deepen the Macedonian-Slovak cooperation and strenghten bilateral ties would continue in various areas. mr/
