Deputy chief EU negotiator Trajkov takes part in EU training program in Zagreb
- Viktorija Trajkov, deputy minister for European affairs and the country's deputy chief negotiator for the accession to the European Union, is attending a two-day training course titled "Preparing for EU Membership: Strategic, Institutional, Economic and Financial Perspectives" in Zagreb, Croatia.
Skopje, 30 September 2025 (MIA) - Viktorija Trajkov, deputy minister for European affairs and the country's deputy chief negotiator for the accession to the European Union, is attending a two-day training course titled "Preparing for EU Membership: Strategic, Institutional, Economic and Financial Perspectives" in Zagreb, Croatia.
According to a press release from the Ministry for European Affairs, Croatia's chief EU negotiator Vladimir Drobnjak will be one of the senior Croatian state representatives presenting Croatia's example of joining the bloc and discussing the challenges the country had faced on its EU path.
Drobnjak will highlight the strategic importance of the rule of law in the negotiation process, the release said.

The Croatian experts, according to the release, are also expected to discuss the economic prerequisites that need to be met by EU candidate countries as well as the significance of the EU's financial assistance to the region through its Reform and Growth Facility for the Western Balkans.
The training program participants will also hear about the benefits of EU funds ahead of joining the EU and after becoming members, focusing on the Croatian example, the release said. mr/
