Defense Minister Misajlovski meets UK Ambassador Lawson

Skopje, 4 July 2024 (MIA) - Defense Minister Vlado Misajlovski held a meeting Thursday with the United Kingdom’s Ambassador, Matthew Lawson, during which they affirmed that the level of cooperation in defense between the two countries is high and will continue to develop, the Ministry of Defense said in a press release.
Minister Misajlovski voiced gratitude over the continued support for the development of the Macedonian defense capacities, trainings and education for Army members within the United Kingdom’s defense institutions, the donations of equipment as well as support in training the country’s declared NATO unit.
Ambassador Lawson highlighted the importance of the stability of the region and said the United Kingdom remains committed to the defense cooperation and development of the Army’s capacities.
The Minister and the Ambassador stressed that the two countries continue to actively and intensively cooperate within the Alliance with shared commitments to maintaining trans-Atlantic security and stability.
