Copenhagen, 31 May 2023 (dpa/MIA) - Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen had the opening passage of a speech in parliament written by the much-discussed chatbot ChatGPT.
The Social Democrat politician said she wanted to point out the importance of artificial intelligence (AI), which is already noticeable today, during her speech in the debate at the end of the Danish parliamentary year on Wednesday.
It is both fascinating and frightening what AI is capable of, Frederiksen said. Within seconds, she said, it can write a speech, solve a university assignment or prepare a report - and do it so convincingly that few believe there is not a human but a robot behind it.
"Artificial intelligence is no longer the future. It is a reality," Frederiksen said. "And it will change our society - to an extent that we simply do not yet understand."
