Prague, 26 July 2021 (MIA) – The Czech Government on Monday adopted a decision to donate 2.39 million COVID-19 vaccines to 12 countries, including North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and countries in Africa and Asia, including Taiwan. The donation is based on the agreement between leaders of European Union member states to deliver 100 million vaccine doses to third countries. “Member states can determine priority countries in the European donation, to which they want to send vaccines from their quota,” Czech Health Minister Adam Vojtěch said Monday, adding that 250,000 vaccine doses will go to Vietnam and 30,000 to Taiwan. The Czech Republic will also provide one million Pfizer vaccines to Slovakia, but Slovakia will pay for them. “We currently have enough vaccines,” said Minister Vojtěch. The Czech Republic has ordered a total of 23.9 million vaccines registered in the EU, 9.6 million have been delivered so far and according to the Ministry of Health, the country will not be able to use all of them.
