“It is a strategic goal of the Republic of North Macedonia to become a full-fledged member of the European Union by 2030, which means that the Macedonian borders will be EU borders. This also means a complete harmonization of our legislation with the EU regulation. At the same time, we are continuously working on a complete digital transformation of the Customs Administration and the implementation of new, as well as the promotion of existing IT systems in line with the EU systems,” stressed Bogoev.

The Customs Administration said memoranda of cooperation are expected to be signed on Thursday, creating additional opportunities for financial assistance.
