Zagreb, 12 February 2025 (Hina/MIA) - The Croatian consumer protection platform Halo Inspektore (Hello, Inspector) has called on citizens to support a high school student initiative by boycotting purchases in bakeries and stores on Friday, Feb. 14.

"Let's support the high school students' initiative! Let’s boycott purchases in bakeries and stores... Let’s stop shopping for one day," reads a post on the Halo Inspektore Facebook page.

"The youth have called on us to support their initiative. Parents, grandparents, relatives, friends - let’s stand by our young people. Let’s not shop on Friday, Feb. 14," the post reads.

Since Saturday, a week-long boycott of the Konzum retail chain, organized by this platform, has been ongoing. The chain was chosen based on a survey in which, according to platform representatives, 144,732 citizens participated.
