Covid-19: 92 new cases, 4 deaths, 13 reinfections

Skopje, 14 March 2022 (MIA) — Of the 1,176 PCR tests for Covid-19 done in North Macedonia's labs over the past 24 hours, 92 were positive. Of them, 13 were reinfections. And four deaths, of people aged 61 to 80, were added to the list of 9,150 people who died from the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic, the Ministry of Health said Monday.
Of the 92 new covid cases, 60 were diagnosed in Skopje.
New cases were also recorded in Kavadarci and Ohrid – 6 people in each; Prilep – 5; Strumica – 4; Kumanovo and Gostivar – 2 each; and Tetovo, Shtip, Kochani, Struga, Gevgelija, Radovish, and Delchevo – one in each town.
In the past 24 hours, 363 people recovered from the acute infection and three people died from covid.
Two people died from covid in Skopje (aged 73 and 80), and one person died in Tetovo (aged 61). All of them died in hospital.
Another death was added to the list of people who died from covid. The person died in a Gostivar hospital aged 64, and their death was logged by health authorities on Jan. 31, 2022.
The MoH press release says all four people who died had underlying health conditions.
According to official statistics, there are now 1,816 active cases nationwide, of which 952 in Skopje.
Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,923,358 coronavirus tests, recording 301,583 covid cases and 290,617 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,150. mr/
