COVID-19: 467 new cases and 14 die
Skopje, 28 September 2021 (MIA) – Over the past 24 hours, North Macedonia registered 467 new COVID-19 cases from 3,512 tests done in the country, 496 patients recovered and 14 people died from coronavirus-related complications, health authorities said on Tuesday. New cases were recorded in Skopje – 245, Kumanovo – 47, Veles - 27, Prilep - 21, Kavadarci - 17, Kichevo - 13, Kochani - 12, Bitola - 11, Kriva Palanka - 9, Ohrid - 8, Tetovo – 6, Strumica - 6, Shtip - 5, Radovish – 5, Valandovo - 5, Kratovo – 4, Krushevo - 4, Gostivar - 3, Gevgelija – 3, Demir Hisar - 3, Negotino - 2, Delchevo - 2, Probishtip – 2, Makedonski Brod - 2, Struga - 1, Sveti Nikole - 1, Berovo - 1, Bogdanci – 1 and Makedonska Kamenica – 1. Of the 14 people who died from coronavirus-related complications, 5 died in Skopje (aged 73, 72, 70, 61 and 57), 2 in Tetovo (aged 88 and 72), 2 in Kratovo (aged 73 and 66), 1 in Demir Kapija (aged 69), 1 in Prilep (aged 90), 1 in Radovish (aged 55) and 1 in Shtip (aged 74). “Additionally, according to the registry of fatalities diagnosed with COVID-19 from the My Appointment e-service, 9 people were reported to have died from September 8 to 28,” said the press release. At the moment, 11,962 cases are active nationwide, of which 5,596 in Skopje. Since the onset of the epidemic, a total of 1,282,666 tests have been made, recording 190,463 COVID-19 cases and 171,871 recoveries. The death toll has reached 6,630.
