Covid-19: 442 new cases, 10 deaths, 373 recoveries
Skopje, 24 November 2021 (MIA) — Of the 2,939 people tested for the coronavirus over the past 24 hours, 442 were diagnosed with covid, and 5 people, aged 57 to 86, died from covid-related complications, the Ministry of Health said in a press release on Wednesday.
Of the new cases, 168 were diagnosed in Skopje. New cases were also recorded in Bitola – 41, Prilep – 31, Kavadarci – 24, Ohrid – 15, Kumanovo, Veles, Shtip, Strumica and Kochani – 13 each, Delchevo – 11, Resen and Valandovo – 10 each, Demir Hisar – 9, Negotino and Berovo – 8, Gevgelija, Sveti Nikole, Kriva Palanka and Radovish – 7 each, Tetovo – 3, Makedonska Kamenica – 2, Gostivar, Kichevo, Struga, Vinica, Probishtip, Kratovo, Bogdanci, Makedonski Brod and Pehchevo – one each.
In the past 24 hours, 373 people recovered from the virus.
Five people died from coronavirus-related complications: two in Skopje (aged 57, 78) one in Delchevo (aged 83), one in Kochani (aged 77) and one in Kriva Palanka (aged 84). All of them in hospital.
Another five were added to the tally after their deaths dated Nov. 11 to 22 were entered into the Ministry of Health’s database. The people who died were from Ohrid, Delchevo, Makedonska Kamenica, Tetovo and Kochani, between the ages of 65 and 86. One died at home and the others in hospital.
At the moment, there are 8,339 active cases nationwide, of which 3,832 in Skopje.
Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,456,023 tests, recording 213,307 covid cases and 197,493 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,474. mr/
