Covid-19: 412 new cases, 12 deaths, 459 recoveries
Skopje, 13 October 2021 (MIA) — Of the 3,567 people tested for coronavirus over the past 24 hours, 412 were diagnosed with Covid-19. Twelve people, aged 46 to 80, died from the illness, the Ministry of Health said Wednesday.
Of the new cases, 207 were diagnosed in Skopje. New cases were also recorded in Kumanovo – 34, Veles – 26, Bitola – 18, Kochani – 16, Kichevo – 15, Prilep – 14, Tetovo, Gostivar and Kavadarci - 10 each, Radovish – 6, Shtip and Sveti Nikole – 5 each, Strumica, Kriva Palanka, Kratovo and Makedonska Kamenica – 4 each, Struga, Gevgelija, Negotino and Vinica – 3 each, Valandovo – 2, and Ohrid, Resen, Probishtip, Bogdanci, Krushevo and Makedonski Brod – one each.
In the past 24 hours, 459 people recovered from the virus.
In the past 24 hours, 12 people died from coronavirus-related complications.
Six people died in Skopje (aged 73, 72, 67, 61, 49 and 46), two died in Kochani (aged 66 and 63), and one person each in Prilep (aged 80), Ohrid (aged 77), Kumanovo (aged 77), and Velles (aged 48). All of them died in hospital.
Additionally, eight deaths between Sept. 1 and Oct. 8 were reported as covid-related. They were people aged 36 to 93 from Skopje, Tetovo, Prilep, Kumanovo and Kochani.
At the moment, 6,589 cases are active nationwide, of which 3,323 in Skopje.
Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,330,304 tests, recording 195,542 Covid-19 cases and 182,078 recoveries. The death toll has reached 6,875.
