COVID-19: 355 new cases, 2,308 patients recover, 9 die
Skopje, 4 December 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 355 new COVID-19 infections after 3,042 tests were conducted in labs across the country in the past 24 hours. In the same period, nine deaths and 2,308 recoveries were reported, the Ministry of Health said on Saturday.
Of the new cases, 152 were registered in Skopje, followed by Bitola – 38, Kavadarci – 25, Prilep – 24, Kumanovo – 17, Ohrid – 17, Veles – 14, Radovish – 9, Delchevo – 6, Shtip – 5, Resen – 5, Tetovo – 4, Strumica – 4, Kochani – 4, Gevgelija – 4, Kriva Palanka – 4, Negotino – 3, Vinica – 3, Probishtip – 3, Valandovo – 3, Krushevo – 2, Makedonski Brod – 2, Kichevo – 1, Sveti Nikole – 1, Kratovo – 1, Bogdanci – 1, Demir Hisar – 1, Makedonska Kamenica – 1, and Pehchevo – 1.
Nine deaths were registered in the past 24 hours, including three in Skopje (aged 72, 84 and 84), two in Ohrid (51 and 55), one in Kriva Palanka (79), one in Makedonska Kamenica (56), one in Bitola (65), and one in Kumanovo (62).
Six more deaths were recorded from the My Appointment e-service, dated Aug. 31 – Dec. 1.
At the moment, 6,069 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,481,925 tests, recording 217,025 COVID-19 cases and 203,325 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,631.
