COVID-19: 318 new cases, 468 recoveries, 7 people die
Skopje, 10 March 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 318 new COVID-19 infections after 2,358 tests were conducted in the past 24 hours, as well as 7 deaths and 468 recoveries, the Health Ministry said on Thursday. Of the new cases, 166 were registered in Skopje, followed by Bitola – 24, Veles – 18, Prilep – 18, Kichevo – 14, Kumanovo – 12, Kavadarci – 10, Ohrid – 10, Resen – 9, Gostivar – 6, Tetovo – 5, Debar – 4, Kochani – 3, Gevgelija – 3, Negotino – 3, Radovish – 2, Kriva Palanka – 2, Bogdanci – 2, Demir Hisar – 2, Shtip – 1, Strumica – 1, Struga – 1, Valandovo -1 and Vinica – 1. In addition, 43 of the total number of new cases (318) are re-infections. Seven deaths were registered in the past 24 hours, including three in Skopje (aged 73, 84 and 87), one in Kumanovo (67), one in Ohrid (68), one in Shtip (71) and one in Kavadarci (56). According to the Covid-diagnosed fatality registry, six people died between February 11 and March 5, 2022. At the moment, 2,065 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,915,369 tests, recording 300,714 COVID-19 cases and 289,532 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,117.
