COVID-19: 310 new cases and four deaths in past 24 hours
Skopje, 29 March 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia on Tuesday recorded 310 new COVID-19 infections after a total of 2,776 tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. According to data of the Public Health Institute, there were also four deaths and 355 recoveries in the same time period. Of the new cases, Skopje registered 180, said the Health Ministry. Out of the 310 cases, 48 are reinfections. Four patients, aged 76, 77, 77 and 54, died in hospital in Veles, Skopje and Kavadraci. In addition, two fatalities were added to the total death toll after being registered in the e-registry of Covid-related fatalities. The Health Ministry said they died on March 26. At the moment, 1,782 cases are active nationwide, including 1,006 in Skopje. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,957,834 tests, recording 305,423 COVID-19 cases and 294,427 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,214.
