COVID-19: 252 new cases, no deaths in past 24 hours
Skopje, 26 August 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia on Friday registered 252 new COVID-19 infections, including 59 reinfections, after 867 tests were performed in the past 24 hours. In the same time period, 426 patients recovered and no deaths were reported, according to data of the Public Health Institute.  Of the new cases, Skopje reported 127. At the moment, 2,239 cases are active nationwide, including 965 in the capital, said the Health Ministry.  Five deaths are added to the death toll, registered from the period of Aug. 18 to Aug. 24, shows the e-registry of Covid-related deaths.  Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 2,147,514 tests, recording 339,492 COVID-19 cases and 327,780 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,473.
