COVID-19: 195 new cases, 207 recoveries, two deaths in past 24 hours
Skopje, 6 April 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 195 new COVID-19 infections after 2,249 tests were conducted in the past 24 hours, two patients died and 207 recovered, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday. Of the new cases, 107 were registered in Skopje, followed by Bitola – 16, Ohrid – 11, Prilep – 9, Kavadarci – 9, Veles – 4, Strumica – 4, Delchevo – 4, Gostivar – 3, Kichevo – 3, Kochani – 3, Krushevo – 3, Kumanovo – 2, Shtip – 2, Sveti Nikole – 2, Kriva Palanka – 2, Debar – 2, Valandovo – 2, Demir Kapija – 2, Tetovo – 1, Struga – 1, Radovish – 1, Berovo – 1, and Probishtip – 1. In addition, 29 of the total number of new cases (195) are re-infections. Two patients died in hospital in the past 24 hours, both of them from Skopje (aged 71 and 85). According to the Covid-diagnosed fatality registry, one more patient from Ohrid (aged 83) has died in hospital. At the moment, 1,535 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,974,520 tests, recording 307,142 COVID-19 cases and 296,373 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,234.
