COVID-19: 185 new cases, 523 patients recover, 12 die
Skopje, 4 October 2021 (MIA) – Over the past 24 hours, North Macedonia registered 185 new COVID-19 cases from 1,876 tests done in the country, 523 patients recovered and 12 people died from coronavirus-related complications, the Ministry of Health said on Monday. New cases were recorded in Skopje – 99,, Veles – 14, Kochani – 14, Kavadarci – 12, Shtip – 11, Sveti Nikole – 8, Kumanovo – 6, Ohrid – 5, Strumica – 4, Prilep – 2, Vinica – 2, Probishtip – 2, Gostivar – 1, Gevgelija – 1, Radovish – 1, Kriva Palanka – 1, Kratovo – 1, Bogdanci – 1. Of the 12 people who died from coronavirus-related complications, five died in Skopje (aged 53, 75, 79, 79 and 79), and one person each in Kumanovo (73), Kochani (90), Veles (83), Prilep, (70), Sveti Nikole (63), Ohrid (78), and Kriva Palanka (79). In addition, according to the registry of fatalities diagnosed with COVID-19 from the My Appointment e-service, 3 people – from Skopje, Strumica and Gevgelija – were reported to have died from September 29 to October 3, reads the press release. At the moment, 11,787 cases are active nationwide, of which 5,496 in Skopje. Since the onset of the epidemic, a total of 1,301,702 tests have been made, recording 192,654 cases and 174,148 recoveries. The death toll has reached 6,719.
