COVID-19: 156 new cases, 326 patients recover, 10 die
Skopje, 8 November 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia registered 156 new COVID-19 infections after 1,309 tests were conducted in labs across the country in the past 24 hours. In the same time period, 10 deaths and 326 recoveries were registered, the Ministry of Health said on Monday.
Of the new cases, 91 were registered in Skopje, followed by Kavadarci – 19, Bitola – 13, Prilep and Kumanovo – 8 each, Kochani – 3, Struga – 2, Tetovo, Shtip, Ohrid, Kichevo, Gevgelija, Sveti Nikole, Kriva Palanka, Delchevo, Kratovo, Bogdanci, Demir Hisar and Makedonska Kamenija – 1 each.
Of the 10 fatalities, four were registered in Skopje (aged 76, 78, 79 and 82) and one each in Kavadarci (61), Shtip (38), Prilep (66), Veles (47), Sveti Nikole (82) and Berovo (35).
At the moment, 7,859 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,409,078 tests, recording 206,233 COVID-19 cases and 191,132 recoveries. The death toll has reached 7,242.
