Constitutive session of National Association of Tour Operators and Travel Agencies

Skopje, 10 May 2023 (MIA) – The National Association of Tour Operators and Travel Agencies of North Macedonia (NATTA) was established at a constitutive session Wednesday, during which the Association’s bodies were elected, as well as its methods of action, said the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia in a press release.

 

In the press release, the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia said the establishing of the National Association would contribute to organized action through regular annual meetings debating relevant issues. As a professional structure and the highest authority representing Macedonian agencies and tour operators, the Association will create long-term policies and strategies, and assume active participation in international associations.

 

“NATTA’s mission is to help create the necessary conditions for the development of a modern, competitive, socially responsible and sustainable tourism industry. Establishing NATTA will enable cooperation with international associations, keeping track of international trends and technologies in the field, fair and competitive approach towards the companies from the neighborhood and the European countries, and increased presence of Macedonian travel agencies on the international tourism market,” said the Economic Chamber.

At the constitutive session, the Association’s Management Board was established with Asim Medjedovic from the “Fibula” travel agency, Kristijan Dzambazovski from the “Bohemia” travel agency and hotel “Ambassador”, Aleksandar Kuzmanovski – “Simonium Travel”, Tihomir Pinevski – “Pine Holidays”, Ana Tanevska Gjorgjievska “Makedonija Turist AD” being elected as members with a four-year term.

 

The Management Board elected Asim Medjedovic as NATTA President, and Kristijan Dzambazovski as Vice President.

 

The President of the Management Board will represent the Association in front of national institutions, advisory bodies, and other national and international organizations.

 

Medjedovic and Dzambazovski, as NATTA President and Vice President, are also members of the National Export Council at the Economic Chamber, chaired by the Chamber’s President Branko Azeski.
