Washington, 23 November 2021 (MIA) – I am deeply saddened by the tragic news that 45 Macedonian citizens, including 12 children, were killed in a bus accident today in Bulgaria, Congresswoman Claudia Tenney posted on Twitter. “My heartfelt condolences go out to the families of the victims and my prayers are with those who were injured,” Tenney’s tweet reads. Congresswoman Tenney, a Republican serving as the U.S. Representative for New York’s 22^nd congressional district, is a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and part of the supporters of North Macedonia in the U.S. Congress. She is one of the signatories of the letter sent to the Bulgarian Ambassador in Washington, urging Bulgaria to resolve the bilateral dispute that is preventing North Macedonia and Albania from launching their EU accession negotiations.
