Skopje, 28 August 2025 (MIA) — As of noon, eight wildfires were reported nationwide, of which three have been put out, four are under control and one is still burning, the Crisis Management Center said Thursday afternoon.

A brush fire is burning in the village of Sokolica in the municipality of Kratovo.

The forest fire at Jasen in the municipality of Makedonski Brod has been put under control by dropping water from air tractors.

Also under control are a mountain fire on Kozhuf in the municipality of Gevgelija; a wildfire in Zhelino's village of Merovo and a wildfire in Gazi Baba's village of Stajkovci.

The fires in Vinica's village of Panek, Radovish's Dedino and Bitola's Dimitar Todorovski Street have been put out, the CMC said. mr/
