Skopje, 10 August 2025 (MIA) - The Crisis Management Center (CMC) has said that 22 wildfires were registered nationwide by Sunday morning, of which one is still active, while 21 have been extinguished.

The active wildfire is burning in the Jasen National Park in municipality of Makedonski Brod. The fire broke out yesterday afternoon and was later fully extinguished, but it reactivated during the night. Firefighters, two helicopters and two aircraft are engaged in the extinguishing operations. 

Fires in the municipalities of Tetovo, Strumica, Bitola, Veles, Gostivar, Karbinci, Prilep, Kumanovo, Jegunovce, Saraj, Rankovce, Kichevo, Valandovo and Studenichani have been put out.
