CMC: 6 fires still burning, 5 under control
- A total of 38 wildfires were reported across the country in the past 24 hours. Six are still burning and five have been put under control, the Crisis Management Centre (CMC) said Tuesday.

Skopje, 22 July 2025 (MIA) - A total of 38 wildfires were reported across the country in the past 24 hours. Six are still burning and five have been put under control, the Crisis Management Centre (CMC) said Tuesday.
The bushfires in the village of Nivichino, Mal Goten and the Maleshevo Mountains, in the municipalities of Vasilevo, Radovish and Berovo, are still burning.
In the Municipality of Makedonski Brod, there are forest fires burning in the village of Greshnica, between the villages of Lokvica and Krapa, and a bushfire is burning in the village of Latovo (Markova Stapalka).
Active fires have also been reported in the Municipality of Prilep – near the village of Shtavica, spreading toward the villages of Chumovo, Volkovo, and Prilepec, and in the Municipality of Zhelino – between the villages of Cerovo and Grupchin.
Fires are under control in the following areas: in the Municipality of Resen, near the villages of Shurlenci and Ezerani; in the Municipality of Dojran, near the village of Nikolikj; in the Municipality of Veles, near the villages of Dzhidimirci, Krushje, and Ivankovci; in the Municipality of Gostivar, near the village of Simnica; and in the Municipality of Prilep, between the villages of Carevikj and Smolani at Radobilski Rid.
According to the CMC, a total of 27 fires have been extinguished.
