Skopje, 12 June 2025 (Embassy of Greece/MIA) - In a significant event toward further fostering economic ties and cooperation between Greece and North Macedonia, high-profile businesses from both countries met Thursday in Gevgeljia aiming at enhancing trade relations, investment opportunities, and strategic partnerships between the two countries. The event, under the title: “Women Leadership and Entrepreneurship and B2B meetings - Sharing insights from Greece & North Macedonia”, took place at Apollonia Hotel in Gevgeljia.

Organized by the Embassy of Greece in North Macedonia, the Municipality of Gevgeljia, Greek Exporters’ Association (SEVE), Greek Association of Women Entrepreneurs (SEGE) and Association of Business Women in North Macedonia (ABW), the event brought together, business leaders, exporters, and experts to explore new paths of collaboration across key sectors such as construction, food, pharmacy and new technologies. The event featured panel discussions, networking sessions, and bilateral meetings designed to foster mutual economic growth and collaboration.

“Entrepreneurship is more than just about building a business — it takes vision, creativity, passion, persistence and endurance. It requires creating new synergies and building pathways  among both people and places. Successful entrepreneurship requires cooperation at multiple levels and teamwork in order to turn ideas into products that can impact the market - locally, regionally and globally. For Greece and North Macedonia, the future products and business of tomorrow spawned by entrepreneurial ventures serve to fuel economic growth and also positively impact neighbouring countries,” said Ambassador of Greece in North Macedonia, Mrs Sophia Philippidou.
