Sofia, 3 January 2023 (MIA) – Bulgarian President Rumen Radev handed over Tuesday the second government formation mandate to Nikolay Denkov, the prime minister-designate of We Continue the Change (WCC), MIA’s Sofia correspondent reports.

Radev said Denkov was presented with the mandate on the first working day in 2023, “when people traditionally wish health, peace and wealth, as it is also full of hope and expectation for more reason, dialogue and understanding.”

He said he hoped Denkov and his party will gather enough support in Parliament. Denkov will have a week to propose a cabinet, which should then be voted in Parliament.

WCC will file a declaration of national priorities to the 48th National Assembly. MPs are expected to vote in favor or against the declaration on January 5.
