Bulgarian MoFA to provide Macedonian authorities with assistance over bus accident
Sofia, 23 November 2021 (MIA) – Bulgarian Foreign Minister Svetlan Stoev told Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, top diplomat Bujar Osmani and Health Minister Venko Filipche on Tuesday that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is providing North Macedonia with the necessary assistance over the bus accident on the Struma highway, MIA reports from Sofia.
Stoev greeted the government delegation at the Sofia-based Pirogov hospital, where they visited bus accident survivors.
Bulgaria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its embassy in Skopje are in contact with the Macedonian Foreign Ministry and its diplomatic mission in Sofia, the Bulgarian MoFA said in a press release.
Relevant Bulgarian institutions have been asked to ensure that the relatives of the victims and survivors, as well as media representatives, can enter the country without delays.
Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry has also provided assistance for the forensics team, as well as Macedonian Interior Ministry employees, set to arrive in the country, the press release read.
