Bosnian man arrested for migrant trafficking

Skopje, 29 August 2024 (MIA) – Border police late on Wednesday arrested a man from Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Bogorodica border crossing with Greece on suspicion of trafficking migrants from China.
Namely, the man, 38, was arrested at the border to exit the country when 15 migrants from China, including a minor, were discovered in his Mercedes trailer with Bosnian register plates, the Interior Ministry said Thursday.
After the Skopje public prosecution for organized crime and corruption was notified about the arrest, the man, whose initials were revealed as M.A., will be charged with migrant trafficking.
The migrants were transported to the Gevgelija migrant transit center.
